These pages provide an overview of the Surrey Area Group, one of the several area groups established to promote and support the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway.
The group has three objectives. To raise awareness of the L&B in the Surrey area , to give financial support by raising much needed funds and finally to co-ordinate the activities of our members by organising work parties either at the railway in Devon, or undertaking practical projects locally.
We raise awareness and the much needed funds by attending local exhibitions and shows in and around the Surrey, area. Our third aim benefits many of our members who are more able and can participate in a planned activity that is organised for them usually in Devon - but not always.
We are always keen to hear from new members who reside within the County of Surrey or the immediate surrounding areas.
