Members, help us develop our strategy!

13th January, 2025

The Trust and CIC are developing an integrated strategy to cover all aspects of planning, operating and maintaining the railway.

With Giles Perkins as Trust lead for the project, and Malcolm Smith as CIC lead they will be supported by a small working group comprising staff, volunteers and members.

Of the nine working group members overall, there will be three member positions, drawn from North Devon / Exmoor, those across the South West and the rest of the UK / beyond. In addition there will be three volunteer positions which will be similarly geographically spread.

As part of the working group you will share your experiences in volunteering and your perspectives on what the future direction should be.

If you are interested in taking part please send an email by the end of Friday 24th January titled “L&B strategy” to giles [dot] perkins [at] lynton-rail.co.uk with your name, L&B membership number, the town in which you live and no more than 300 words on why you’d be interested and what you can bring to the process.

Please note, we obviously can’t accept all applications and we will be selecting a cross section of people based on what they can bring and geography so we get a range of views.
