Postcode Week (Running days between the 23rd April – 1st of May )

During our service running days between the 23rd April -1st of May EX & TA postcode residents are invited to enjoy travel for just £2.00. Plus kids under 14 years travel for free! For just £2.00 sit back and enjoy a relaxing train ride, passengers are entitled to one round trip only. We strongly recommend pre-booking a date and train service to avoid disappointment.

You will need to ensure to bring along proof of residency (a utility bill or similar) and photo ID like a drivers license to claim your £2 ride.

  • Local Child: FREE

  • Local Disabled Passenger: £2.00

  • Local Carer: Free

Holidaying in the area during this time? You can still enjoy visiting us and travel for the standard fare. Your ticket will be valid all day so you may be able to take part in multiple journeys. Please ensure to select the standard fare option, you will need to select a service time when booking however like mentioned before your ticket is valid for all services that day.

  • Family - (2 adults and up to 3 student/young adult): £31.00

Postcode Week Running Days: 23rd, 24th, 26th, 27th, 29th and 30th of April, plus the 1st of May.

Departure Train Times From Woody Bay Station to Killington Lane:

10.45 – 11.30 – 12.15 – 13.30 – 14.15 – 15.00 – 16.00.

2 mile return journey (approximately 20 minutes)

 

 

Tearoom & Station Shop

The Tearoom will be open every running day from 10:00 till 16:00, serving a range of light refreshments including hot & cold drinks, sandwiches, warm pasties and sausage rolls, cakes and cream teas.

Along with our Tearoom our Station Shop will be open with a range of gifts and souvenirs available to purchase.

 

First Class Upgrade (Available On The Day)

Upgrade on the day and travel in style and comfort in one of our 1st class compartments. You can purchase your upgrade on the day from our Station shop. This available on a first come first serve basis and cannot be pre-booked.

£3.50 per person (valid for one return trip)

 

Accessibility

Our trains can accommodate standard (non motorized) transit wheelchairs and our staff are always on hand to provide assistance. We have a wheelchair accessible compartment which can accommodate one wheelchair per train. With this there is access via the guards van which has a ramp available for use. Please be aware there are some size restrictions with the ramp. Ramp size restrictions: Width 700 millimeters and weight 300 kilograms.

Directions & Parking

Please make your way to Woody Bay Station, we have a large free car park which includes disabled parking closer to the station. We recommend arriving at least 10 minutes before your train departure.

Terms & Conditions

- To benefit from £2.00 travel during our postcode week passengers are require to bring along and present proof of their address. This can be a utility bill, drivers license or something similar, please ensure to bring along a form of photo ID. One piece of proof and ID is required per group.

- During our Postcode Week kids under the age of 14 years will still travel for free.

- It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure they book the correct ticket type.

-  This offer doesn’t include the first class upgrade. First class upgrades will be available on the day from our station shop for the £3.50 per return trip, per passenger including kids. Please be aware first class seating is very limited and available on a first come first served basis.

- We are unable to reserve seats, places will be available on a first come first served basis.

- Buggies/Prams: We regret that due to space constraints, pushchairs and buggies cannot be accommodated on trains, however there is space for them to be left at the station at the owners’ own risk.

- Dogs: We are a dog friendly railway, well behaved dogs and their owners are more than welcome to visit the station and travel on the train. Dogs travel FREE provided that their owners have purchased a ticket and other passengers do not object. Please be aware dogs are not allowed in our 1st class compartments. Your four legged friend is also welcome to visit our station shop tea-room and woodland, please be aware dogs must be kept on a lead throughout their whole visit.
