January 2025 Carriage Report

Last year we have been working on the parts of Carriage No 9. The observant will recognise the centre section being worked on that was recovered from Colin Pealing's garage in Walsall 20 years ago but now that the engineering team at Woody Bay are working again on the bogies and steel underframe of Van 23 we are putting the carriage parts to one side and bringing out the parts of van 23 ready for reconstructing the bodywork as soon as we receive the underframe.
The workshop is mostly unheated except for our mess room so members like to keep moving!
