The project to erect a new tea room at Woody Bay reached a milestone on Saturday, 16th July when North Devon MP, Selaine Saxby, formally cut the ribbon to mark the completion of the fitting out of the structure of the building.
Since the frame of the building was put up earlier this year, many hours of work have been spent by a large number of our volunteers in painting the structure, including preparation work. Our grateful thanks are due to all who have contributed in any way to this often tedious, but necessary task.
All that remains to do before we can welcome our visitors to this new facility is to fit out the serving area with the necessary equipment such as coffee machine, fridge etc.
By mid-September the work was completed and the internal layout can be seen here.
