Recognising Our Volunteers

With it being Volunteers Week across the UK, the Trustees would like to thank all of those who contribute their time, energy, expertise and skills to the railway across all sites in the L&B family. Your help and continued support are genuinely appreciated.

From those who keep our infrastructure and rolling stock in tip top condition, our gardeners who keep Woody Bay blooming, the operators of the garden and 7 ¼ “ railways, our shop and footplate staff, those behind the scenes who keep our operations processes running smoothy, to those who keep Chelfham and Snapper in their radiant slumber, our area groups and scores of others who all make the L&B what it is - we salute you.

We’re going to be looking at widening the depth and breadth of the volunteer base over the remainder of 2024 and we’ll be giving some insights into the sorts of activities our volunteers undertake in the next episode of our of video series, Steam on the Moor.
