Remembrance Sunday, 13th November, 2022

A Service of Remembrance will be held in the morning at Woody Bay station, starting at 10.50, and including a 2-minute silence at 11.00.

All trains will be hauled by the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway’s war memorial locomotive, AXE, a veteran of service in World War 1. The loco will carry a commemorative wreath and an ex- Royal Navy patrol boat’s bell which saw action on D-Day.

First train of the day will depart Woody Bay at 11.15, with subsequent trains at:

11.45 12.15 13.45 14.30 15.15

The new tea room will be open until 15.15, and also feature a small display of items relating to World War 1.
