Winter Work Weekend 27th - 29th January 2023

Another Winter Volunteer three day working weekend when we welcomed our friends from far and wide to help prepare the railway for the 2023 season.

Lots of work completed in many areas:

Start on shed tidy and improvements, steam cleaning and painting within inpsection pit.

 Trackwork - transhipment siding curve eased, slewing and packing on the mainline, sleeper changing, cutting back of vegetation to improve visibility.

Continued the move, tidy and sorting of long term stored items from Chelfham to our farm store, two trailers in use. 

Insulated and heated store created to protect and preserve token machines. 

Station Shop - Continued interior painting and tidying of electrics.

Next Winter Work Weekend is 24th - 26th March.
